Shane is a high school teacher and wrestling coach who graduated from the University of Delaware in 2009 with a BA in Social Studies Education.

In high school Shane excelled at Football, Wrestling, and Track.

“After having let my workouts and diet fall off during my first year and a half of college I got back into training in February 2007 and spent the next three and a half years dabbling with assorted protocols primarily revolving around free weights, kettlebells, and running. While I saw results my workouts lacked organization and direction that limited the gains that I made.

In June of 2010, having grown bored with my current routine I met Troy Selph while we were each working with local wrestlers. I had initially heard about Crossfit in the summer of 2008, but had discounted it as I believed that it was similar to what I was already doing and I also feared I would lose strength if I were to switch over. However, I coudn’t ignore the results I saw in the student athletes as they continued to follow Troy’s CrossFit program. I realized that I was likely wrong in my assumptions about CrossFit, and so I decided to sign up as a member at Crossfit Rehoboth.

Since making the switch to Crossfit and adapting to a Paleo diet I’ve made consistent gains in both absolute strength and cardio vascular capacity that show no signs of slowing down.

As a coach my goal is to help all members of Crossfit Rehoboth achieve their specific goals, whatever they may be. I believe if you give everything you have you’ll be amazed by what you see in return.”
