In addition to teaching Special Education Math since 2003 at Cape Henlopen High, Mush is also a volunteer coach for Cape’s wrestling team as well as a high school lacrosse referee for the state. Mush earned his business degree from Wesley College and masters in Special Education from Wilmington University. At Wesley, Mush was the captain of the lacrosse team. Today he continues to play lacrosse for the Starboard Lacrosse Club.

“I have been into fitness for much of my life, mainly through sports. Over the years I continued to work out by trying different exercise programs. In May of 2010 I met Troy at Cape High School and he invited me to come check out his gym. At that point I was doing circuit workouts and using TPX bands but getting minimal results. After my first CrossFit workout I was hooked. I started to see results immediately.

In addition to CrossFit, I have also adopted healthier nutrition habits, following a mix of Paleo, Zone and Primal diet. With these training and nutrition changes my body compostion has improved drastically and I continue to set personal records on all my lifts and workouts. I have also noticed a big difference in my lacrosse playing. I feel I am playing better now than I did in college!

After being a member of CFR for a year, I am honored to join the coaching staff. My goal as a coach is to help others achieve their personal goals, whether it’s to become faster, stronger, more flexible, or just to get into better shape. Anything is possible with the right program and coaching.”

Mush lives in Lewes, DE with his wife Sarah and dog D’og.
